Practitioner’s note
The Shared Laundry was first documented in the sociology literature in 1967 and only later catalogued by this Society. It is performed weekly in most variants and biweekly under the *Forgotten in the Washer* sub-tradition. Its defining feature is the moment, often wordless, in which one practitioner concedes that yes, fine, those go in cold.
