Practitioner’s note

The Late Reply is among the most commonly practised positions of the modern era and the least frequently named. It begins eleven minutes after it should and continues, somewhat sheepishly, until a satisfactory tone has been struck. Practitioners report that no one has ever been on time for it, and that this is part of its character.

Reading aloud the message you had not yet sent.
