Practitioner’s note

The Inverted Email Signature is performed in reverse order: phone number first, then department, then full name. It is not recommended for first-time practitioners or for anyone currently between job titles. The accompanying salutation — “Best,” — is delivered last, and quietly.

Common mistakes

Including a pronoun line where a pronoun line does not belong.
Quoting the entire email thread.
Adding a disclaimer of confidentiality.
